A Little Background
My wife and I live in Maryland but we were born and raised  in New Orleans...affectionally known as the "Big Easy."  We are both very involved in music ministry at our church  (she is a choir directo
r and I am the lead keyboardist) and we love to contribute to overseas missions and helping single parents.  Money to us is simply a tool we use to fund our life purposes.  I realized after working in the federal government as a Chaplain Assistant and later as an  Hospital Administrator for over 20 years, that my retirement would not provide enough income to fund our life purposes in a truly significant way.  I also realized like many of my colleagues in corporate America,  that success did not come without a price in stress and time away from family.  

Everyone of my friends who have retired before me from federal service, went back into the workplace to supplement their retirement income.  The sobering reality of having to spend possibly another 20 years in the workplace after retirement was "cause for pause!"
